| General Account Information |
|
| |
| What
is my Username? |
|
When one signs up for a TIMENet
dial up account, one has to create a Username (Login Name or login
ID). This name acts as an ID that enables TIMENet to recognise
one's account when TIMENet is called upon for support. The
Username is also the default email name.
For example if the Username is johndoe, hence the email address
will be johndoe@time.net.my

| Can
I change my Username? |
Changing the Username will effect current features like email account
(username@time.net.my) and other personalised features that are provided.
If one insists on changing the Username, one will need to register
another new dial up account.
Once registered, please contact TIMECare Call Centre at 03-27106200
to remove the details in previous dial up account. TIMENet will
not transfer personal details and data from the old account to the
new. |
| |
| Can
I change my email address? |
|
No, you will not be able to do so
because the Username is automatically set to be the email name for
your email address.
If you insist on changing your email address, you need to register
a new dial up account. Once you have registered for a new Username,
please contact TIMECare Call Centre at 03-27106200 to remove your
details in your previous dial up account.
|
| |
| How
much does the email cost? |
The
TIMENet email service is free of charge. Every new account is provided
with a 10MB storage space. The account holder can utilise the storage
space to send and receive an unlimited number of messages, regardless
of the recipients or destinations.
If more email space is required, please refer to our sales division
at sales. |
| |
| Can
I have multiple email addresses? |
|
TIMENet members currently will hold one email address/account at username@time.net.my.
However the case may be, there will be two options of having multiple
email account with TIMENet:
-
Register for the TIMENet Instant Internet Access more than
one time. (e.g. register for "A", you will get A@time.net.my,
and register "B" and get another account at B@time.net.my)
-
Contact TIMENet sales at sales@time.net.my. Multiple email
address through a sales representative may be chargeable.

through the web email, one can gain access to the account from anywhere
in the world by simply going to the TIMENet Central, www.time.net.my. |
| |
| Why
is my email application asking for my user name and password? |
| To
access your mail server, you need to enter your login name and password.
If you don't know them, review your account information provided by
www.time.net.my. Account information will contain
login name and password information, as well as host names and port
numbers. |
| |
| Why
can't I get new messages over my Dial-up connection? |
